If I may touch His garment

Bible Text: Mark 5:22-43

After two consecutive years of blood transfusions, the baby was not getting any better. Would this be a yearly ritual? Having to spend days in the hospital whenever the baby turned pale and was at the verge of death. It took the faith of these two parents of a baby, who was meant to be a bundle of joy but rather had turned to be the cause of yearly hospital visits, to receive their miracle. Amidst prayers, the father prayed over a bucket of water and as soon as he poured it on the baby, the baby's health was fully restored. It was a miracle!

The couple had exercised similar faith to that of the woman with the issue of blood. She had spent all she had in quest to be free from her burden. Upon hearing Jesus was passing, she believed that if only she could reach where Jesus was and touch his garment she will be healed. She knew that Jesus was able! God is more than able to turn our situation around. We can gain this faith by knowing who God is. The psalmist says, "He telleth the numbers of the stars; he calleth them all by their names" (Psalm 147:4 KJV). Our God is more than able to come through in our time of need.

The flour and oil of the Zarephath widow never ran out, the red sea was divided, Lazarus was raised from the dead after four days in the tomb, the list is endless.
There is nothing God cannot do. All we have to do is exercise our faith and trust in God's timing; If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you ( Matthew 17:20 KJV).

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. Help me to put my trust in you. Even as I exercise my faith and believe in you, turn things around for my good.

And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen!
