Nights are period of general inactivity. Not much results are expected at night, all major works are performed during the day where everyone and everything is active.
The Israelites would have expected God to supernaturally transport them away from the trouble they faced. However God chose to use something as simple as the wind to bring them deliverance.
It is not stated but these strong wind would have been of discomfort to them although it was meant to drive back the sea.
At night, when all hope was lost and there seemed to be no way , God drove back the sea using a strong east wind.
In our nights, we need to hold on to Jesus, trusting that He is driving back all seas to bring us deliverance.
and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. In my nights Lord drive back all the seas that stand in my way.
And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
Amen!
