Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Many times we are found wanting in prayer. We do not know what to say and how to say it.
Jesus knew this and therefore gave us a course in Prayer, Prayer 101.
How then are we to pray:
At the centre of our prayer should be the call for God's Kingdom to Come.
All things on this earth cry out to a need for God's Kingdom to come.
The imperfections, wars, tribulations, natural disasters, the list goes on and on.When we pray for God's Kingdom to come on earth we pray for Divine Intervention to our worlds countless troubles.
We become part of this kingdom by adoption into God's family through rebirth in Jesus Christ.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 4:17)
A life that pleases God is a requirement for this Kingdom. This kingdom is not a worldly kingdom but that of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. An evidence of living in this Kingdom is to forfeit all other things in surrender to God's will to be done. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. Let your kingdom come Oh Lord! Let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
Amen!
