Divine Positioning

Bible Text: Genesis 41:40

Most a times we think that our efforts is what will get us to where we want to be or has given us what we have. This does not imply that God encourages laziness but it means that no matter what it is God's will that stands.  Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21)

God puts people at various positions at his own will. It is God who positions us. Through out Scriptures we can see how God positioned Men and women to fulfil a divine purpose.

Joseph was positioned for a purpose. To deliver the land of Egypt and his entire family from famine.

God could have used anyone. There were the wise men serving at the Kings palace but God crossed over to choose a prisoner, Joseph. This is because God never wants there to be a state where men claim his glory.

Joseph was a successful prison prefect but what place and skill did he have to manage an entire nation's agricultural affairs. Not just any agricultural affair but one that was about to go into 7 years of abundance and 7 years of famine.

Joseph could only have succeeded by God's help and that is what God does. When he positions he provides.

God will and is positioning us for greatness. He will provide the resources needed to fulfil his purpose. We on the other hand have to avail ourselves to be used by him and for him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. Use me Lord for your greatness. Position me in places i never imagines so that I may fulfil your purpose for my life.

And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen!
