Golden Rule

Bible Text: Matthew 6:1

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

It is easy to want a particular kind of treatment but not be ready to give that. We are often selfish in our dealings but would want to be treated otherwise.

Jesus gave this sermon to give a simple yet tough explanation to love and unselfishness. This is the kind of love that should be in us.

If you want someone to be kind to you, you would have to be kind to others.

The adage goes "Be the change that you are looking for. " We should spend less time demanding change from others but rather work on being the change we want.

Not just in certain aspects of our lives, but in all aspects, in everything we do.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. Let me be a good steward of the many blessings you have given me. Giving to others not full of pride but filled with gratitude to you Oh Lord!

And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen!
