Our Help from the Lord

Bible Text: Psalm 121:2

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)
We are often tempted to trust in something or someone other than God. Its quite easy to do so as we cannot see God.
God is mostly often our last option when all others have failed. When we identify that our only help comes from God only then can we live an abundant life.

In this abundant life we have God as our helper. He who made the heavens and the earth is our only sure help. This helper will protect you from evil and we are sure that he is available 24/7 because he will never abandon us for he never sleeps nor slumber.

Your right hand which symbolises your skill and source of livelihood is always protected. He protects your business and what ever you lay your hand to do. Whatever concerns you is protected by the Lord himself. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand (Vs 5)

In this abundant life, the Lord keeps you from all visible attacks of the enemy, the smiting sun, and also from all sneaky unseen attacks of the enemy, the smiting moon. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. (Vs 6)

The Lord himself preserves your life, he provides, he covers you from head to toe. Why then should we put our trust in chariots that will fail us.

Put your trust in God. Live to please him, obey his commands and make this loving God your friend.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. Maker of the Universe, help me to trust in you and to put my full trust in you.

And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen!
