Soar on Wings Like Eagles

Bible Text: Isaiah 40:31

Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

We often grow weary and tired. Our own strength does not seem to carry us as far as we need to go. Our strength fails us in the face of adversity. Trying times leaves our spirit broken and heavy.

However waiting upon God, Hoping on God, renews our strength. This expectancy in God to deliver us builds our trust in Him. Not only do we have a renewed strength, we have the God-courage to face our situations head on. This is likened to the eagle full of vigour and strength, who uses the pressure of the storm to glide higher into the sky.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

hWhen we put our trust in God, obeying his Word, even when we run we will not grow weary and when we walk we will not be faint. No circumstances will be able to shake us. Life's ups and downs will only be a stepping stone to the great things God has in store for us.  Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. (Psalm 125:1)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I commit my life in your hands. My strength is in you Oh Lord. Renew my strength as i wait on You.

And unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen!
